We are pleased to introduce a high-performance H₂S reduction powder called MicroNox. This H₂S reduction powder is effectively being utilized at many Anaerobic Digesters in the U.S. and is widely used in Europe. MicroNox is a mixture of iron oxides-hydroxides and other functional oxides. The product is a naturally mined iron oxide that has been developed to be added directly in complete mix style of digester(s). MicroNox will internally reduce the H₂S to sulfur, allowing the sulfur to exit the digester in the digestate. The powder is very efficient at reducing the effluent H₂S in the biogas by ~75%, resulting in competitive H₂S removal costs. This product has been the object of extensive preliminary studies with successful application in biogas plants. We have been selling MicroNox for many years now and clients who have used the product have not used anything else.
MicroNox doesn’t require any special storage or specific training to be used properly as the powder is a natural substance which is classified as non-hazardous. It is packaged in 44 lb. fermentable paper bags which can be added directly to the process without opening the bags and is also available in 2,200 lb super sacks.
